Do You Vent About Work on Your Blog?

Are you blogging about work? Be careful of what you write, since you could end up getting into trouble or even a legal battle.

More and more people are blogging each day, not just about everyday things, but about their workplace. It's alright to rant and rave about certain topics, but it should be kept on a general level.

Workplaces nowadays have the ability (via the Internet of course) to Google someone's name and see if they have written any information about the company that they work for and if they are leaking out any company trade secrets, which could cause the firm to lose battles in a very competitive environment. But not all companies think that blogging has to be negative. Some companies actually encourage blogging, so that they could promote their products or services. The only downfall of this is that the blogger would only be able to to write positive things about the company, even if they feel that there are some negative aspects of it.

So the next time you write a post on your blog, think about the implications that could happen, depending on what your subject matter is about.

Until next time,

Take care - of your clutter!
