Do you feel sore during the work day? Do you feel like you have to get up and stretch every so often? Do you need a break once in a while?

If you answered yes of any or all of these questions, your ergonomical setup might either be incorrect or you are not moving about enough during your day.

Here are some easy tips to follow to get your body moving and feeling move awake and energized during the day:

  • If you can't leave your desk for long periods of time, move within your chair at least every 20 minutes. This will help the muscles stretch and the blood flow.
  • If you do have the change to move out of your chair at times, try to do it for 5 minutes every 30 minutes. I understand that this can be a difficult task at times, but you will feel more productive in the long run.
  • The top of your monitor should be positioned at eye level. Make sure to have your monitor at least 2 feet away from you.
  • Your feet should be planted flat on the ground, so adjust your chair if needed.
  • Your arms should be close to your sides and flat on the table or arm rests.
Follow these simple steps and you will be on your way to becoming a healthier and more productive person, at work and outside of work.
