"Checking In" to a Better Flight

You get an urgent e-mail from your boss asking you to book a flight and hotel. You search around to find the best deal (check out Travel Links on the right side of this blog for some suggestions) and book what your boss needed.
The time finally comes when your boss is flying out to that all important business trip. They forget to do their own flight check-in and don't have time, so they call you up and ask you to do it.
You scratch your head and wonder how this can be done. Some of you might already know the answer to this, but I thought that I'd give the information here anyways, since I was stumped in the beginning as well.
Here are the details you need to get your boss checked-in:
- Make sure that you have a copy of the itinerary, which needs to have the reservation code.
- Log into the airline carrier's website.
- Find a link to be able to "check-in" for your boss' flight.
- Follow the instructions.
