Administrative Committees Can Help When You Need It Most

An interesting thing happened to me today.  One of the managers that is going to be moving into our offices from another location asked me if I could do her a small favour.  Of course, I wanted to help out.  She asked me if I could hunt down an iPad charger for her, as she left hers in her office and needed to give it a little boost for a meeting that she was having later today.

As I remembered, I am a part of our company's Administrative Committee.  In a nutshell, we meet every so often to discuss anything that's new, trends and any updates that have been going on with us in our professional lives.  This helps everyone involved get a sort of "continuing educational seminar" every time we meet.

I e-mailed everyone involved via the e-mail distribution list that has been set up for us in Microsoft Outlook and within a matter of minutes, I got a few replies stating that they had one I could borrow.

So, the next time you think you might need something from someone or want to help out, ask around your office to see if every administrative person would be willing to create such a committee.  It really helped me out this time and many others in the past.

Until next time,

Take care - of your clutter!
