Hi Maura,

Unfortunately, I can't add a forum to this site right now, since it would take quite a bit of work and only can focus on the blog itself right now. If I do end up coming up with a little extra time in the future, I will write a post on it.

Try checking Yahoo Groups or Google Groups. There are quite a bit of AA forms there. Also, Facebook has a few I believe.

I can't remember the last time I used the menu or button for Cut, copy and paste!

And the split screen function is wonderful too. Especially when you are cutting and pasting in a 200 page document!!

Does anyone know of a forum for AA's? I think it would be wonderful to have a place to go and brainstorm, share tips and help eachother out? Just a thought

As for Outlook, I usually use the "Advanced Find" command, since there are more criteria I can use to search for particular items.

I love CTRL-Z (undo), CTRL-H (find & replace), the split screen feature in Word (it splits the screen into 2 sections so you can look at 2 different areas of the document at the same time.

In Outlook 2007 (may have been available in earlier versions, but I didn't know about it) I'm finding the search folders extremely helpful. You just right click on the search folders, click on new folder & enter your criteria.

Thanks for the tip. This definitely will help quite a bit.

Don't forget about the CTRL-C (copy), CTRL-X (cut) and CTRL-V (paste) functions. This helps a lot, since you don't want to constantly be clicking copy, cut and paste either on the menu bar or right clicking your mouse.

Hello,

I have been working as an AA for over 10 years and am always looking for new ways to do things. Great idea asking for comments from your readers.

You asked for tips that we find useful in the job and my favourite is ctrl Y. This repeats the last function you did (ie inserting a row in Excel) if you press the ctrl Y you will keep inserting rows. This saves a bunch of time if you have to do a function several times and there isn't a keyboard short cut.
